Saturday Sep 07, 2019
Jeremy Bradley is a farmer and soil microbiologist from Beechwood, near Port Macquarie. He has been active in sustainable soil education and research for many years. He and his wife Cathy run a small mixed farm enterprise that focuses on soil health and a bio-lab that produces fungi for soil regeneration and bio-herbicides.
The Beechwood couple were recently awarded Outstanding Performance in New Product and Management Process at the National Carbon Farming conference, recognising their world-first method of growing and introducing beneficial fungi to the soil. Their popular product, Soil Trooper, is a native fungus that decomposes dead plant material to build topsoil and cycle nutrients.
Jeremy very kindly agreed to speak to Environmental as Anything about the exciting carbon farming opportunities hot out of the lab.
