Matt Kean has been Minister for Environment and Energy in NSW for just over a year and he has turned his state from a laggard to a leader in the race to become a renewable energy superpower. This week he has seized the forest conservation nettle and promised to turn around the trajectory of our koalas from extinction to doubling in population by 2050.
